Fourteen weeks sick.
Three days before I finally get into the specialist, I’m finally back to feeling mostly healthy. Ah, irony.
Healthy enough, my brain started giving me words again at last.
Not words on the stalled-out WIP, though; that would be too easy. No, as I’d been reduced in the final stages of extreme sickness and exhaustion to reading the lightest and fluffiest of hockey romances, as it’s what I could track through exhaustion… my brain is trying to give me a contemporary romance.
My friends, being the wonderful people they are, 1) were thrilled I was feeling well enough to write, 2) asked (independently of each other), “How long until the explosions?”
I don’t think there are gonna be any, but I also don’t think I’m going to finish it. I’m just writing it now, because it’s better than not writing, to get back into the habit of producing words.
We’ll see if I stay healthy, and what the specialist recommends. But for now, I’m just going to take it easy, sit in the sun plenty, and write as and when able.
Take care of yourself, and have fun writing!

I’m very glad you’re feeling better. Sometimes it’s interesting to see where a story goes when you’re writing for the sake of writing. Good luck with the specialist!
Glad that you’re feeling better. Write what and when you feel like it!
Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Don’t overdo it and stick to the fluffiest of fluff.
Who knows? You may get something you like.
My only question is hockey, or hokey.
Mostly because I’m already familiar with several other sports-based romances, but they’re Japanese.
“It’s all fun and games, until someone loses a heart. Then it’s hockey.” To vary the old joke about the sport.
The best Hockey romance I’ve seen was in Slapshot.
Glad you’re feeling better! Gonna write your own hockey romance? 😀
