Dave really tired.
The Wee Horde and I retrieved Mrs. Dave from the airport Saturday last, and we haven’t really stopped moving since. There was an art project (successful), an Avengers date (also successful, though I now have Thoughts and Feelings), and adjustment (ongoing). We’ve got a few weeks before the next Adjustment. Dammit.
The MGC’s own Amanda Green has a new release, today, and you should all go check it out. On a personal basis, I haven’t written fiction in a goodly while. I’m not even sure why, other than it’s hard, and I’ve had a bellyful of difficult things going on, and while I rather keenly feel the lack, something has to go. I dunno. It’s a weird morning. After a solid week and more or warm weather and sunlight, today dawned steel-gray and wet, conditions likely to continue through tonight and into tomorrow. See the above: dammit.
I’m pretty sure I know what this is, actually, having sat and not written a word for a solid hour hoping my post will write itself. This is Dave adjusting. I’d like to register a complaint with the management. The timing could be better, I think. I’m sorry, folks. I’m hitting a point where I have urgent stuff to do (part of what’s weighing down the creative brain, such as it is) and I don’t have the option to dig anything of use out.
Anyway, go check out Battle Flight, and leave a review. Reviews are writer gold. I’ll see what I can do to be back in some kind of shape next week.
