You know, real life isn’t supposed to resemble fiction… it’s especially not supposed to resemble editing fiction.
But when the endodontist says “We’re going to open in up, pack it full of medicine, and then check in a week. If necessary, we’re going to then clean it out, pack it full of more medicine, and do this as many times as it takes until your symptoms resolve…”
Yeah, I’m starting to feel like I’m the really bad first draft.
Here’s to revisions going well!
Since I got nothin’, let’s make this an open floor. Within the bounds of good taste and decency, tell me, what do you want to see here? What do you want covered? What WIP are you working on? What’s frustrating you with it? What did you learn from writing your last story, that you’re applying to this one?
The ball’s in your court. Is it an Imperial court,, or a SpaceBallz courting gone awry?

My brain is total popcorn kittens right now, start (runs and counts) eight things, finished . . . one.
Yeah, had fun with doctors myself recently, the meds do not help the writing. Hope your issues resolve as successfully as mine.
At least I am writing. That’s good, right?
Yay writing! Yeah, that’s good. I’m not there myself right now, but I’ll cheer everyone else on!
Isekai.
One is requiring me to juggle half a dozen elements. Squeeze in stuff and make it fit in its position so as to disguise This Will Be Important Later.
The other had the heroine being given the run-around for a time and putting up with it because they were distracting her with stuff that actually was important. I hope it picks up now that she’s breaking free.
Sounds fun – may it flow well!
What do I want to see here? I want the magic trick that will let me write down what is in my head, just the way it seems in my head. None of that business where I discover that, uh, the stuff in my head is actually quite fuzzy and needs to be Thought About before it turns into good writing. I want to see this trick Uncovered so don’t be asking about what I want ‘covered’! Also I’m still working on my WIP but since I’ve been at it for a while no-one needs another description of it and the fact that it isn’t finished is what’s frustrating about it. What I learned from the last story is that sheep are very interesting but every time I try to apply that to the new story Bad Things Happen. Evidently, they aren’t That interesting. And the ball is definitely not in my court. It’s over there being guarded by a sheepdog.
Still working on book 4 of the ‘Republic of Texas Navy’ series. I’m seriously considering splitting it into two books so I can get something out sooner.
First off, I hope the tooth problem improves, it sounds horrifying 😦
I’ve got two WIPs that I’ve brought to a combined total of 45K in seven months, which is probably my personal record for rate of output in the time since giving up NaNoWriMo. The trouble with one is that it’s a fairly loose retelling of a famous public domain novel IN SPACE, and we’re coming up on my least favorite stretch of the source material. The trouble with the other is that we’re a bit past the halfway mark, I know more or less how the later parts of the story go, but I just can’t figure out how to get there from here.
