Vandrickular came to meet his beloved at 8pm as he had for the last 100 years. The heavy cloak that protected him from the sun was no weight as his heart lifted to see her. But, today, her alabaster-skinned self was gone.
Where had they taken his silent love? He must find her. And if he could not, then the world would know his wrath again. They would pay.
Vandrickular slid into velvet shadows to wait as two humans passed by speaking gibberish.
“How long before they get that statute cleaned?”
“Oh, they’re going to crush it. It wasn’t PC.”
Oooh. That has some very intriguing possibilities!
Another factory! Why do the owners worry so? Why not put windows to give light, at least. Now I need to find out who works here? what they do? What are their salaries? And should I do something? Hmmm.
