If it’s Tuesday. . .

It could mean any number of things. But life in my household the last eight months means Tuesdays are either physical therapy appointments for my mother or dates for procedures on her back. It is the latter today and we’ll be leaving the house shortly for her to undergo a new procedure to try to help ease the pain in her spine. Fingers crossed that it works. But this Tuesday is also release day for me. Danger Foretold, the next entry in the Eerie Side of the Tracks series, is now available for download. The print version will be available shortly.

RaptureThis book presented a number of challenges, most of them I knew going in. But, because Myrtle is an evil muse, there were a few surprises. I knew it would be a difficult book to write because it marks the beginning of the end for the series. I don’t think it means the end of books set in Mossy Creek, but the plot is reaching its natural conclusion.

Or, considering this is Mossy Creek, I should say unnatural conclusion. 😉

I can’t give away the surprises without giving away spoilers, but Myrtle was evil in this one. I think it works and it has set up the final book(s) very well–I hope.

Anyway, I need to get ready to leave. So here’s the blurb for Danger Foretold. Store links follow. If I get back in time, I’ll post a “real” post later today. Now for the blurb:

Mossy Creek, TX is not your normal town. For more than a century, it’s been a haven to Others, people with special “talents”. Magic and shapeshifting are normal there. Others and Normals co-exist as friends, neighbors, lovers and family. But all that is in danger of being destroyed as an untold evil comes to town, determined to destroy not only those sworn to protect the town and all who live there but the very town itself.

Mossy Creek’s wayward children have returned, one by one, to town. Annie Grissom Caldwell, Quinn O’Donnell, and Meg Sheridan are back and determined to do all they can to stand between their town and the oncoming danger. Dr. Jax Powell, the Rogue, leads them and, in her role as one of the town’s Guardians, will do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. But another of their group, Maddy Reyes, may very well hold the key to victory.

But can they trust her?

Do they dare?
