Hello? Hello? Has anyone seen my brain lately? It appears to have gone on an extended vacation. Hitchhiking, leaving no trail, not even sending postcards.

I’m in one of those weird spells my writing seems to take. Lots of ideas, lots of writing . . . nothing getting finished . . .

From past experience, I’ll settle down and starting finishing stuff, going “Oh that wasn’t actually too hard!” and publish something every six weeks or so, for a year.

I hope.

I’m also fighting with substack. What a stupid . . . what do you mean you didn’t publish it? I pushed the bloody button . . .

I truly hate learning new things. I do learn them, if I have to. But that doesn’t mean I won’t trail-and-error and complain and . . . finally get it.

Anyway, I started out with a short story, and now I’m posting the start and end of a Space Opera that I’ve never gotten around to writing the middle of there.

If I’m lucky that will be the end of my substacking and everyone will hate me for never writing the really cool middle full of meeting aliens and making friends, enemies. Exploring and fighting and “stuff.”

Give me an opinion. I need all the help I can get . . .

One response to “Brainzzzzz . . .”

  1. I don’t see anything much wrong with your substack, aside from the teaser image not showing up consistently on the Crux posts (2 and 4 have it, 1 and 3 do not). If you’re having that much trouble with substack, it’s probably not worth trying to fix. Better to just keep posting.

I’m curious as to how people who serialize on substack or other places deal with taking stuff down ahead of release; especially if they are in Kindle Unlimited.

As far as writing things out of order; it is a colossal pain in the neck, but sometimes it’s all you can do. Been dealing with the fallout from that on current WIP, so you have my sympathy, FWIW.
