With summer on us — well, at least on 3 of the 5 Mad Genii — we were wondering if there were any specific workshops, mini or otherwise, you’d like to see on weekends. Let us know in the comment section below.
In the meantime, I am going to throw the floor open to you guys. Ask any publishing related questions you might have.
And have a fun, safe weekend!

One mini-clinic I’d like to see would be about flow. How do you smooth out transitions between scenes or segments? And are there ever times when an abrupt stop, scene reset, restart might be appropriate (aside from chapter breaks perhaps)? Sequencing might also be an interesting topic – can you start in the middle and then go back, and how do you do it without losing your marbles as well as you reader? I’ve tried it once, couldn’t find a way to make things work, and ended up scrapping the mess and starting all over.
Thanks a bunch!
Um… I can actually do this. Any other volunteers? Amanda? Kate?
Sure
How about a workshop on pacing?
Faster, Faster. 😉
Well, never mind that!
Er?
Oh, I threw a plushie at you but didn’t realize that the symbols I enclosed the action inside made it disappear.
Oh. Dang. I’d have liked to see that.
