It’s been an interesting week, and I’ll remind you now that interesting isn’t always pleasant. I did learn some things, and I’d urge you to pop over and read about those, at my substack. It’s not an easy read, warning you now.
On a lighter note, I have a book available for free today and tomorrow. You can grab Crow Moon and leave me a review later, if you’d like to make this author a little more cheerful. Or if you have the dough to spread, pick up a copy of Pin-Up Noir, which has a story I wrote rubbing shoulders with some other fantastic tales of dames who cause distress… If you want a whole boatload of reading material, Hans Schantz is running the annual LibertyCon Indie sale.
The Three Moms of the Apocalypse are running a Postcards challenge during LibertyCon, and you can get a prompt image from any of us, but the email is probably the most reliable way to reach out during this busy weekend, as we all monitor it.

I’ll leave you with this: go give someone you love a hug. If you know someone’s having a rough time, reach out. It might be as simple as a funny meme, or a cat picture. Or it might be as complex as dropping by with a meal so you know they are eating, and they know they are supported in their community.
If you need some memes, I’ve got a few to start you.

Or maybe you want a feel good story?

The obligatory cat picture (not my cat, and not my CAT).

My humor ranges a little dark, so know your audience…

Nothing quite makes you realize the really important things in life like a major health crisis. I am so glad that yours is heading in the right direction!
Thank you for the memes, and I’m glad things are improving.
Six million blessings.
When you start to get low, six million more.
Repeat as needed.
I’m sorry to hear about your week but glad that you made it to the hospital in time. Anything else I could say seems inadequate to the situation.
On a completely different note, that cat in a cat looks like it’s about to try to take over the world. Maybe we should sent it to Russia. It would probably be a better option for the next ruler than either of the ones that seem to be on offer.
I’m so glad you made it to the hospital.
Enjoy every moment you have together because you only get one life.
Best wishes to you and your family for a full recovery.
Hey, the angel food cake and blackberries needed eating, and a spray can of whip cream exists to make people laugh, whether full or as it sputters its last remnants on the cake. If we hadn’t had an infarction interruption to your day, there would have been cocktails named Fluffy Ruffles to go with it!
And, as I told the people we handed the leftovers to in the cardiac surgery waiting area, “If you use that for hijinks, we were never here!”, so it’s not like we can be blamed!
